Claude glass, made of convex glass tinted with a dark color, was invented in the 17th century by the French landscape painter Claude Lorraine. It was used to view landscape through glass made of uneven surfaces so that the viewer could experience the landscape differently. Inspired by Claude glass, I created panes of black glass with irregular patterns. A rotating spotlight sheds light on each pane slowly, resulting in the appearance of a star-like reflection projected on the surface.
